INFORMATION FOR CITIZENS

The Minascent site is situated within the industrial park of InfraLeuna.  Minascent is using hazardous materials which could in case of exposure be harmful to people or the environment. There are sophisticated technical and organizational measures in place which allow safe operations. The company is subject to the extended obligations of the Accident Ordinance. As part of this obligation (§11 of the Accident Ordinance), a brochure “Information der Öffentlichkeit” with helpful information was jointly prepared by InfraLeuna and the relevant companies within the industrial park. Minascent verarbeitet gefährliche Stoffe welche im Fall des Kontakts schädlich für Menschen oder die Umwelt sein können. Es sind umfangreiche technische und organisatorische Maßnahmen etabliert, die einen sicheren Betrieb gewährleisten. Die Firma unterliegt den erweiterten Anforderungen nach Störfallverordnung. Als Teil dieser Anforderung (§11 der Störfallverordnung), wurde in Zusammenarbeit von InfraLeuna und den relevanten am Standort ansässigen Firmen eine Broschüre mit nützlichen Informationen erstellt.
